Fred Barber is a native born Texan and has lived in Fort Worth for 43 years. He graduated from Spring Branch High School in Houston and attended Texas Christian University on a football scholarship. His majors at TCU were business and psychology. Fred was a founding member of TCU’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is member of the TCU’s Letterman’s Association. Among his other university activities are his membership in TCU’s Committee of 100 and graduate studies toward an advanced degree where he has attained recognition in the National Honor Society. Fred was nominated in 1976 for recognition in Outstanding Young Men of America. He has spent 22 years in financial planning and has attained professional designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Certified Fund Specialist. Fred is an Elder of Trinity Bible Church and is a teaching leader in the Bible Study Fellowship. He has been married for 37 years and is the father of three and grandfather of five.
